Scher tler's "onboard" acoustic guitar preamplifier is based on the standard BLUESTiCK andincludes all the features necessary f or producing great sound: Volume, treble and bass controls,notch filter, battery check and an innovative three-stage gain structure. Plus, thanks to its compact size and ease of installation, Onboard is right for any guitarist seeking a variety of tone configurations adjustable at the guitar. Sound quality and long batter y life (approx. 300hours), combined with extremely quiet operation, are ensured by class A (constant curr ent) circuitry.

The installation requires a 1/8" hole to be drilled through the top of the guitar at the very edge of the cone support area and about 3/8" from the coverplate screw next to the tailpiece. This allows access to the top side of the guitar but is covered up by the coverplate. The Basik is installed with silicone adhesive and is placed under the spider bridge between the center screw hole and the relief pocket in the underside of the bridge. This area is a very close fit but it works well due to the small size of the Basik. The proper amount of adhesive is important. About the size of a pea works well. The wire length is 10" to 12" long and it is routed through the 1/8" hole into the body of the guitar. The leads are then soldered to the 1/4" jack installed in the tailblock. When reassembling the guitar make sure the wire has a relaxed loop and does not hit either the cone or the spider assembly when the coverplate is secured.

The Dual System is the most important Schertler product in the acoustic guitar amplificationdomain. The Dual combines the two main Schertler technologies, the electrostatic under-saddle transducer (BLUESTiCK) and the electro-dynamic transducer (Dyn). The BLUESTiCK®, in combination with the C-Dyn, enables the player to create a wide variety of tones. Either pickup may be selected alone, or a blend of the two may be created. The flexibility of the Dual system is complemented by its simplicity; a double rotary controller is mounted with double-sided tape inside the sound hole. The black control is used to adjust the overall volume level, while the white control is used to adjust the blend between the BLUESTiCK and the CDYN.

What about the installation?     The installation is exactly the same as for the regular BLUESTiCK, and the C-DYN that is mounted inside the guitar, below the bridge on the Bridge Plate. The C-Dyn pick-up is attached with the flat side mounted to the bridge plate - the cover of the C-DYN faces the inside of the guitar. The Dual requires no visual modification of your instrument – no more unsightly control panels, volume knobs, and so on.

PUB-280 is an active, biamplified system designed to deliver the mid and high ranges of a PA or monitor system, or act as a full-range instrument amplifier for most acoustic instruments. With 200W RMS to the 8" woofer and 80W RMS to the 1" compression tweeter, PUB-280 packs a lethal punch in a small package. The SCHERTLER PUB-280 Active Loudspeaker System is high-powered and designed to provide undistorted music reproduction at high levels. Versatile and compact, PUB may be used as a PA system for small clubs, a monitor system for medium-sized stages, and as individual acoustic instrument amplifier systems.

The heart of BLUESTiCK is a miniaturized electrostatic condenser microphone with a moving mass of just 0.0014 milligrams.Because it’s so remarkably light, it can fully respond to the incredibly subtle harmonic vibrations that truly determine the sound of your guitar. TRANSDUCER - The BLUESTiCK represents a complete departure from existing undersaddle systems. It consists of an hermetically sealed sound chamber, constructed around a sub-miniature condenser microphone, utilizing all natural materials, and offers a natural reproduction of the sound of your instrument; there is no need for notch filters or manipulation of the signal to reach a clear and natural sound.
